Privacy
Your statement never leaves your computer. PDF Rows converts the file with code running inside your own browser tab. The PDF is not uploaded, not stored, not logged and not seen by Geary Works or anyone else. When you close the tab, it is gone.
What this site does collect
- Nothing about you, if you only use the free version. No account, no email address, no cookies, and nothing that follows you to any other site.
- A count of page visits. Vercel’s visitor counter records that a page was opened, and the country, browser and device type it was opened on. It reports to pdfrows.com itself, sets no cookie, and builds no profile of you. It is how we find out whether anyone is here at all. It never sees your statement, because your statement is never sent anywhere.
- A licence key, if you buy. When you paste a key, it is sent to Polar to check that it is real. The request contains the key and nothing else — no file, no transactions, no account numbers.
- Your key is stored in your browser so you do not have to paste it again. Clearing site data removes it.
- That stored key is re-checked once when the page loads, so a refunded or revoked key stops working. It is the same one-line request: the key, nothing else. If the check cannot be made — you are offline, or the licence server is down — the converter keeps working anyway. It is never allowed to lock you out of something you paid for.
Payment
Purchases are handled by Polar as merchant of record. Polar receives your email address and payment details and issues the receipt; Geary Works never sees your card. Polar’s own privacy policy covers that step.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel, which records standard web-server request logs for the pages themselves. Those logs contain page requests — never the contents of a PDF, because the PDF is never sent.
If you buy, this site sends you exactly two emails, both to the address you gave Polar at checkout. The first arrives straight away and contains your licence key — it has to exist, because the receipt Polar sends does not have the key on it. The second arrives three days later and asks one question: whether the rows came out right for your bank. That is the entire list. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no marketing email, ever, and nothing is sent to you if you only use the free version.
Both are delivered by Resend, which receives your email address for the sole purpose of delivering them. Replying to either email, or writing to the support address below, stops any further contact — there is nothing to unsubscribe from beyond those two. One caveat, stated plainly: the check-in is queued the moment you buy, so a reply in those first three days may not arrive in time to call it back. Nothing else follows it either way.
If something goes wrong, the support address asks for your bank’s name and a description — not your statement. That is deliberate: an email is an ordinary email, stored on Google’s servers at both ends, and it would undo the one thing this product is for. If you do attach a statement anyway, it is read to fix the problem and then deleted, and it is never used for anything else — but the safer path is a page with the names and numbers blacked out.
